Astronomy is Looking Up!

Welcome to Sonora Astronomical Society (SAS)! We meet monthly from September through May on the second Tuesday at 7:00pm except for September, December, and May we meet at 5:00pm for dinner. Our membership fee is $15 per family per year. You can receive a discount for Astronomy magazine, Sky and Telescope magazine, and the RASC Observer's Handbook.

We are an active astronomy club with a membership of 171 amateur astronomers. We have started three after school astronomy clubs. We have star parties for schools, libraries, and scouts. We participate in public star parties for Whipple Observatory and other venues.
