Downeast Amateur Astronomy Club

The Downeast Amateur Astronomy Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to its role as an educator and promoter of amateur astronomy and is a member of the Astronomical League. The Club holds meetings once each month for members to share their own astronomical interests Downeast Amateur Astronomy Club is an open group that hopes all that are interested in Astronomy together in Northern New England and Canada. We were created to promote fellowship and the exchange of information among its members – amateur astronomers. We are located in Washington County Maine which has some of the darkest skies in the United States. We currently have about 20 members. Being a member of an Astronomy Club bring many benefits.
