WHAT IS THE CAF?

The CAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Midland, Texas.

The CAF is an all volunteer organization, with members from all walks of life, dedicated to preserving the history of the people and planes of World War II.

Formerly known as The Confederate Air Force, the name was changed to the more appropriate "Commemorative Air Force" as of January 1, 2002.

There are over 70 Wings (units) throughout the world, with over 7,500 members.

Air Group One is the San Diego Wing of the CAF.
